You can cancel an American Airlines flight and get your money back if you purchased a refundable ticket. The process can be done easily through the American Airlines website or mobile app by accessing "My Trips." Non-refundable ticket holders won’t receive a cash refund but may receive a travel credit for future flights. Additionally, American Airlines has a 24-hour cancellation window, during which all tickets can be canceled for a full refund. Outside of this window, cancellation fees may apply unless you have a refundable ticket or your flight is canceled by the airline.
